What we collect
Only what you send us: your name, email, phone, company, ship-to city and province or state, details about your crane and ropes, photos, and the items on your quote list. We also keep the emails and texts you send us.
Why
To prepare your quote, supply and ship your order, answer your questions and, if you ask us to, arrange pickup of your old rope for Ropes for Riggers. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only those who need it to fill your order: rope makers, socketing technicians and freight carriers. If you ask for your old rope to be picked up, Ropes for Riggers. Our website and forms are run by Netlify, and our email by our email provider; their servers may be outside your province or outside Canada.
In your browser
This site remembers your quote list, your chosen sheave standard, the last crane page you looked at and the contact details you sent us, in your own browser on this device, so you do not have to type them again. Nothing is sent to us until you send a request. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for your quotes and orders, and for the records the law requires us to keep.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing us. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the privacy commissioner for your province (in BC, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner; in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information).
